Their best, released shortly after Mark Sandman died onstage of a heart attack.

2.Ted Leo and the Pharmacists--Tyranny of Distance
Great songwriting.

3.The Dismemberment Plan--Emergency & I
An oldie, but a goodie. Haven't heard the new one, Change, yet.

4.Tortoise--Millions Now Living Will Never Die
Don't even know how to explain it, except pretty low-key, and instrumental.

5.Godspeed You Black Emperor!--Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada
Saw the concert in Montreal on Monday night. They played this and I think you could've heard a pin drop. Everyone was on the edge of their seats.

Extra: Montreal--Pretty cool place, everyone is friendly. Great music scene, especially for jazz.

	if you provided links to where we could hear and/or buy the music. I'm a great fan of trying out other people's music recommendations, but obviously I don't want to turn myself into a freeloading criminal by using Napster. Sadly, I don't live in Canada myself, so I doubt you could loan me their music so I could make a handy, legal, copy.

	If you are trying to introduce people to new music, you might try to perhaps classify the music and explain it with a little more detail. If I didn't know who the people on this list were, your post would not make me want to investigate. -lb
