	I have found that playing soccer is becoming more popular in America, but soccer is not popular as a spectator sport. Evidence of this is our cultural stereotype of the soccer moms. A large number of male children of my generation have been raised on soccer. I played it for 3 years as a child. My brother played it even longer and was on his High School team. Yet neither my brother and I care at all for professional soccer. Here in the US, soccer is still generally considered "kid stuff." This might change in 10 or 20 years as more kids grow up, but I don't think that changes the fact that watching someone else play soccer is more boring than watching baseball. _ _ Do you suffer from late-night hacking? Ask your doctor about Protonix.

	I actually really enjoy watching soccer (particularly World Cup-level games) but can see how most Americans find it boring. So here's an idea - what about having WWF-style soccer? Throw out the current penalty system and replace it with one-on-one extreme fighting. So if a defender trips a striker in the penalty box, not only does the striker get to take a penalty shot, but he also gets to body slam the guy who took him down. That'd be cool. Add to this handicapping goalies (blindfolding, tying hands behind backs, etc.) and then you'd get some serious scoring going on. D.C. United 24, Chicago Burn 22. Oh yeah!
